Juvenile Eastern Painted turtle- Not in perfect shape, has a few toes bitten off (don't have history) and looks like the tip of the tail as well. Shell a bit flared but with good diet and habitat it should improve over time with new growth.

Eastern Painted turtle - This adult Eastern Painted came in with plastron shell rot. Although she has scarring it has healed up. Because she was found in an industrial area with no ponds in the area we suspect it was someones dumped pet so will not release her. She is quite animated and a real character. She begs for attention, well, really for food, and follows me around the pond every time I walk downstairs. Nice turtle.

A 40 gallon or larger tank would be required but because of his deformities an outdoor pond would probably not be a good idea.
